Simple! Visually interesting! Still looks good if you kinda mess up! These abstract angular french tip nails (can you tell I don’t know what to call them?) are a simple but cute geometric nail art design that anyone can do. If you’re looking for freehand nail art that could could feasibly do to match on your non-dominant hand, look no further. I used a black base and a couple different shades of red (duh), but any color combo will work.
After applying my nails, I started with a black base, cured it (I use gel but of course you do not need to), and then swiped the basis of the french tip on with an orangey-red color, as pictured. I then went in with a tool (a dotting tool or brush will do) to clean up the edges and make the color more opaque.

After curing that or letting it dry, go in with your next color (I used a more true red here) around the edges of your nail. I also defined the orange part with that, but you do not have to. Honestly, if I did it again, I think I would just go around the edge and not define the triangle-y part, but it might look better or worse depending on the color combination. And again, you can use your drawing tool of choice—I opted for a dotting tool because I find them easier to control, but it is all up to you and what you find to be easier.

That’s all there is to it! After your border color is cured or dried, add a top coat and get on your way. Now you have a funky, edgy spin on the classic french tip to show off.
